Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.
These detentions come after an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Before the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases after getting out of a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.
Police arrested a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.
Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by a noxious substance believed to be an irritant spray.
The assault - which police said was isolated and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park briefly.
